To Beer drinkers...be warned.
« on: October 06, 2006, 10:18:16 pm »
Last month, National University of Lesotho scientists released the results of a recent analysis that revealed the presence of female hormones in beer. It suggested that men should take a concerned look at their beer consumption.

Beer contains female hormones (hops contain phytoestrogens) and that by drinking enough beer, men turn into women.
100 men drank 8 pints of beer each, within a 1 hour period. It was then observed that 100% of the test subjects:

    1) Argued over nothing.
    2) Refused to apologize when obviously wrong.
    3) Gained weight.
    4) Talked excessively without making sense.
    5) Became overly emotional.
    6) Couldn't drive.
    7) Failed to think rationally
    8) Had to sit down while urinating.

No further testing was considered necessary.

Jan you just put the feminist movement back 100 years. Actually those symptoms sound more like politician than hormonal

Since I only drink Champagne, I do not feel concerned by these symptons! ;)  Just like Marie-Antoinette, I always keep a bottle at a little cabinet for any occasions!
And  whenever I do drink beer, I add a pint of lemonade to it --- called Panaché, in French.

I wonder if this means should stop home-brewing?

Nah......

 :D :D..John, I think randy falls under #'s 5 & 7...and most of us are guilty of #4.. ;)

Johnny...just in case I gave the wrong impression (or you didn't get it) the post was tongue in cheek..but I agree #'s 1.2.4.5 & 7 sounds like most of our Politicians would be beer drinkers.

Buckmark..home brew is ok...no chemicals.. ;)

Your impression is always wonderful :D
But be careful about tongues in cheeks! You never know where they have been!

On a side note note now that Autumn has sprung it is time for pumpkin ale. I love pumpkin ale!
Saturday i picked up two other favorite beers, a bottle of hefe weizen and Lambic's peche beer.  What I am now craving is a Dutch fall bock beer. My friend is back in the Netherlands where she is under orders to bring over licorice ( the Dutch kind) and beerenburg.
I know I know , how provincial!
