Update on myself
« on: February 16, 2007, 01:03:01 am »
Thank goodness I can access the forums been trying for a while and nothing but here I am and back for good. Missed you guys.

Most of you know me others don't but here is an update. I was diagnosed lsat year may CD4 - 414 VL - 1890. I have changed my whole lifestyle the full ten yards as to better my health. Had an excellent holiday and then went for labs in January this year my labs came back and i was not impressed with myself nor the results. CD4 - 362 VL 2642. I with the help of my GP have contacted a hiv specialist and will be seeing him on the 20th of this month. At first all doubts went through my mind and all but then I thought that it will be better to consult with a doctor who is clued up with hiv and the treatments. If I need to start meds then so be it, it is for my own good.

I also met this awesome guy who means the world to me at first I was afraid in disclosing my status to him because scared he might reject me but what do you know he is still standing by me through this and is of great support to me.

There are so many things that I have decided that I will be doing for those around me. I have decided to start a support group where I stay to help those newly diagnosed deal with it and give a shoulder to those in need. Will also be visiting hospitals and homes for people who has hiv/aids. Here in South Africa there is still a big issue with hiv/aids and something needs to be done about it.

I wish you all the best health and happiness

Love and Peace

Much love

Angel

Hi Angel,

You've certainly had a very full year.

Starting a support group is a great thing to do and much needed. Keep us posted on how it's going.

Cheers,
Andy Velez
