At least I cried during Bravo's "Work Out" and not during "Shear Genius"

I started crying once, during wheel of fortune, at college.  That's when they put me on my first antidepression medication.

Hell, my depression was so bad at one point that I would cry at commercials.

In my defense I cried because there was the scene where all of the trainers at Sky Sport had just gotten word that Doug was near death, and Brian (so sexy!) broke down in tears.  I still found it odd to get teary eyed during a reality show.

Wheel of Fortune?  nuf said... I think you might have needed something stronger than an SSRI for that one dearie!

I saw that!  And yes, I sniffled also.  And I don't even usually watch any reality TV shows.  I had read in all the gay media about Doug Blasdell passing away, however, so my curiosity was aroused.  Must admit that whole thing was pretty sad.  They've started a foundation in his honor, and I believe HIV is one of the focal points of it.

It was very sad.  I like "Work Out" ok... I'm not big on reality shows except (of course) The Tim Gunn Hour... but I kind of like uber-lesbo Jackie & co.  Plus they had a Colt model show up to work out!  One time Jody Watley worked out with Doug... fun stuff.

Is that Tim Gunn show on?  I didn't know that.  I confess that I was into PR, but I haven't watched that one in a great long while.  What season is Runway on now?  Three?  Four?  That last ones I saw, they were designing in Paris.

I happened upon that WorkOut show sometime last year (probably due to a search for Runway).  I saw that Blasdell guy then- training Jody Watley, I believe- and thought he sure seemed like a really sweet individual (from what one can tell from such a show- which likely isn't much).

mmm... oh I wasn't referring to his upcoming show my dear.  I was just calling Project Runway the Tim Gunn Hour because it is to me.  The next upcoming episodes will be Season 4, and Tim will be returning it has been confirmed.  However I'm reading on their wiki entry that Top Chef will return before the next Project Runway season so I'd guess that will be towards the end of 2007.

Tim's show seems to be delayed:  http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2007/05/bravo-searches-gunns-sidekick.php

I love him but I don't have HBO.  I should torrent him regularly but I'm too preoccupied with porn.

I called Comcast when the final season of The Sopranos was getting ready to come on, and they made me a deal I couldn't refuse!  $4.99/month for six months.  By the time the six months is over, The Sopranos will be over, so I'll just cancel it again.

hmmm... I should call them and play hardball.  I've heard you can get all sorts of things when you threaten to shut everything off.  I have Comcast too.

Of course, we're funding their glamorous new skyscraper going up in downtown Philly which I can see from my living room window.  Will be the tallest in the city when completed.

Yes, all you have to do is tell them you want to get a sattelite because it's cheaper, and Comcast will offer you a deal (they're such whores).

I called Time Warner and said just that.  They told me that people like me were taking advantage of all the 'New Subscriber' specials and ruining it for others.  After being a customer for over 20 years, that didn't go over very well.  We now have Dish Network and it has a much better picture plus the DVR's are really cool.  Screw Time Warner.

I don't know Philly....some of those shows are so awful they'd make anybody cry if they HAD to watch them....
And incidentally crying is not a bad thing.  After David died I often found myself crying at the oddest moments
usually triggered by a specific memory or flashback of his hospice days.  Even the most macho of men will cry..
Get in touch with your inner feelings....or stop watching Reality TV...unless you need a good cry.

I can't believe you don't cry at "Shear Genius". Not only are the gay guys dropping like flies, it is just bad tv.  Bravo has done so well with PR, Top Chief and Top Design, this one just sucks!

heee... I've had depression times when I would cry at the drop of a hat but really this wasn't one of those.  Plus I'm off all the mental meds so my system seems more balanced now... I hate those drugs.

I can be emotionally stunted in relationships, or so I've been told (not sure I buy it... the accusers are ALWAYS biased against me!!!) but sometimes I think I cry easy with movies.  I think it's kind of healthy really.  I cried easy as a kid too, but then I'm a fag so what do you expect?

I can't watch The Color Purple with anyone because I always end up in tears, it's ridiculous.

OMG!  I just remembered dealing with those hateful rat bastards at Time Warner Cable in ILM !  It was NEVER fun to deal with them.

Really.  I thought the queens on Project Runway were super gay, but the ones on Shear Genius really take the cake.  Dr. Boogie really scares me... and did you see Miss Theodore sashay out of the studio in those cowboy boots channeling Nancy Sinatra in front of Garren?  I've met Garren several times and I'm sure she just gagged.

I don't know who these people are you're talking about, but I do know that Bravo is gayer than Logo these days.

I'll also add that Todd Oldham was stiffer than a board on Top Design.  That was such a lame show.

Here's Dr. Boogie:

But seriously, you just don't get any gayer than men in the hair business.  I knew *SO* many top people in this field when I lived in NYC.  My best friend is one of the top colorists in the city and pulls down a healthy 6-figure income.  Plus they're always hard core party-ers and can always sniff out the after hours hors d'oeuvres.

That's true.  I've only known them to be outdone by the occasional school techer.
