latest labs, more disclosure
« on: June 18, 2007, 08:40:38 pm »
results   CD4 372 (down from 507)
            VL 30,500 (down from 35,000)
             % 25  (unchanged)
One thing to note, after getting to 507 again from Feb's results, for some unknown reason I stopped taking the additional Selenium (200 mcg, [105 already in One-A-Day vitamin] ), which I only started a little more than a month before Feb labs. I will be back to it tomorrow morning.

My cholesterol is 198, down from 225. This is quite interesting as my chol. has NEVER been below 220-something my entire adult life. Triglycerides are at 168, down from 272. Of course the HDL/LDL ratio is not so good ( I didn't ask for #'s), but I'm pretty happy about the 198. The only thing I can attribute to that is that I stopped smoking for 6 weeks before labs.

Lastly, in a state of Fire Island drunkenness, I told my best fag hag friend ( a term of endearment) that I had HIV. We cried together and she told me she was so sorry if she ever said anything to make me think I couldn't tell her. ( a whole other story).

P.S. still seeing the guy ;)

Hi Paul... I know that disclosure has been a struggle for you and I am very glad your FH turned out to be so cool.  Of course, she wouldn't be a good one if she wasn't.    :-)

Glad to hear you're still seeing someone.

Not bad to me, Paul unless I'm missing something. If you believe the vitamins have helped you in the past then by all means start them again. I am glad you were able to disclose to your fag hag. I am a fag hag to a couple who are both infected and they come to me when they have questions. It seems they were the only ones who accepted me when I disclosed to them. I'm glad things are still going well with you and the dude, I am happy for you....

Hi Paul,

I take selenium and a multi-vitamin almost everyday. I'm not sure if they play a big part in boosting the immune system, but there's no harm in taking them anyway.

I'm glad you are seeing someone. Oh, and I want a fag hag too!   :)

Hmm, perhaps I should try selenium.

Good to hear you're still seeing that guy!
