Afraid to Test
« on: December 20, 2008, 12:58:54 am »
Hi all

I dont know what to say but since May 2008 my life has been miserable and seems to get more and more. Unfortunately I went to a sex worker (russian) in Canada and protected virginal but unprotected oral sex which lasted for 15 minutes (oral alone). unprotected oral sex took place twice during that month. In july i went to another sex woker (japanese) but she performed everything protected. After that I have been experiencing weird symptoms, skin rashes (red and blue), had 2 fevers n 3 colds + sorethroat in one month! (september). I took an 8 week HIV, syphilis, clymedian and gnorrehea test (8 weeks from may 24th) n all came out neg but still i feel i do have something. The two lymphnodes on either side of my throat are swollen n are visible even without stretching my neck. i feel one in my groin and 2 on my feet as well.

I know I cannot be diagnosed online, but I am very afraid to take another HIV test given my swollen nodes, I was really afraid when I took the first one and dont have the courage to go through another one.  Can anyone tell me did u all face the same situation as me? How did you get the courage to test yourselves?

You did not have a risk of contracting HIV from receiving a blowjob. If you are concerned about your symptoms see your doctor.

Condoms provide very effective protection against HIV transmission. Nothing else you did put you at risk for HIV. So whatever is going on has nothing to do with HIV, at least in relation to these incidents. I am assuming you did not have any unprotected intercourse prior to what you have mentioned.

We do recommend that anyone who is sexually active regularly have a full STD panel done. That means at least annually. Other STDs are much easier to acquire than HIV.

This is not an HIV situation.

Cheers.

I didnot hav sex prior to those events and was 100% negative wen tested 3 months prior to these events....i did come into contact when changing positions wd her vaginal secretions....and she seems to smoke a lot and might hav bleeding gums....does that increase my risk? she had very lathargic attitude towards oral sex she didnt even consider it as risky even tho male to female transmission thru it is very risky compared 2 d otherway....

Wouldn't matter how bloody her gums were during giving oral. In the entire history of the epidemic there has never been a single confirmed case of transmission via receiving oral to a guy. You won't make history by becoming the first. No matter what worrisome details you throw into the mix.

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

un,

There has NEVER been a documented case of a guy becoming infected with hiv while getting his dick sucked - whatever website you looked at that told you otherwise is WRONG. You're not going to be the first to become infected this way; I can guarantee you that. If you don't believe me, go test and collect your negative result and MOVE ON.

If you feel unwell, go see a doctor. Whatever is going on has nothing to do with hiv as you did NOT have a risk.

You got a no-risk blowjob. Get over it.

And by the way, syphilis shares a three month window with hiv. However, it's highly unlikely you got syphilis through anything you've described.
