evening news
« on: April 07, 2008, 10:32:12 pm »
Up a bit later than usual and the evening news comes on and they do the one minute preview of the news.

Teen girls invite girl over( shows footage of a girl just puttin a whoppin on a girl) find out what there mad about.

Couple shot on there porch, by there son. Find out why.

Six year old takes gun to school. Why did he

At that point i turned the t.v. off. I didn't want to know what the kid was mad about, or what he did.
Heck they were only 30 seconds into the preview.
Half the worlds nuts, and the other half's on antidepressants just to deal with it.

I was about to go on the deck to "burn one" and i could hear the news guys voice in my head.

Forum member stops Lucas Clay from posting. :D

thank heavens there's still good left in the world. even if it's fading, which i'm not sure it is, or if it's darkness that's trying to stage a coup. whatever the case is, i'll hold on to good for dear life 'til my last breath

in the mid 90's, my first partner and I stopped watching the news, after the promos/previews of the upcoming stories (a 30 second bit) previewed 50 odd people dying (in 6 different stories)... Just far too depressing.

Now, the only tv I watch (besides the tv I download :-D bsg, ncis, sga, doctor who, torchwood, brothers and sisters, simpsons, family guy, american dad, the unit) is funniest home videos, love the funny pet bits :-))

My thoughts are, that there hasn't really been any good news since 9/11/01, and it just continues to get worse by the day. Society, seems to be going to hell in a handbasket. I am glad there's the Comedy channel ! , and my erotica !  ::)

I'm a news junkie ... which is probably why Prozac is my good friend.

I LOVE Torchwood ... which is Doctor Who scrambled.

If there's one word I could go the rest of my life without hearing, it would probably be "Terror".

I must be sick because I love watching news. Seeing other people's misery makes me cherish my life, no matter how much trouble i have to go through to hang in here...
