Starting Atripla Tonight....
« on: September 13, 2013, 10:46:57 pm »
Hello POZ Members,

Last month I got diagnosed with HIV, I was told by my doctor my CD4 count was at 208 and Viral Load at 29191. I decided to go on antiretroviral therapy choosing Atripla as my first choice regimen. Today I went and picked my meds up and was kind of feeling apprehensive about the people standing around as the pharmacy tech kindly waved my medication bag around so normal as they weren't HIV drugs. Tonight will be my first night taking one of my "vitamins". I really have to honest, I'm scared but hey it's better then dying. How was your first time on  your antiretrovirals?

Hey there I am on my third night of Atripla tonight and I have to say it honestly hasn't been that bad.  A little lightheaded and a few strange dreams and that is about it.  I was scared shitless myself, full on shaking as I took the pill but I have been pleasantly surprised, goodluck  ;)
