Poppers Research website celebrates 5000 visits
« on: May 22, 2008, 03:02:59 pm »
I'm celebrating reaching a milestone of having 5000 visits to my poppers research information website. The website was created to assist researchers, consumers, and HIV service providers with a centralized site with bibliographies of published research about poppers.

I'm concerned that poppers effect on the immune system increases susceptibility to HIV infection, an issue for HIV positive men having risky sex with HIV negative partners.

Feedback during poz.com discussions about poppers was a catalyst for creating the site.

They aren't an problem for HIV - just if you're lactose intolerent.

the jury is still out on that one, i'm afraid.  they might if you're the cheap and easy sort (as I am) that tends to think picking up the bill after a few picks off the dinner menu at Applebee's entitles your date to stick it up your pooper.  however...the lactose intolerence factor may then work in your favor, as it can create GI problems that render bottoming completely out of the question.

this didn't help me - as i let the louse have his way with me beforehand with only the promise of dinner later...and after he stiffed me, he stiffed me.

No, no, no.. Poppers are those little round things with the string and you pull the string and they pop, shooting little strings of colored paper.

Poppers were shoved in my face during sex once and I had to karate block them.
The *only* thing I've inhaled is nitric oxide in the backroom working at Starbucks in SF...those were the days. The End.

Feh poppers. They don't do a great deal for me. My boy pussy requires no chemical assistance to accommodate willing gentlemen.

I do think they are essential component of the atmosphere of any sleazy sex-joint. That indescribable aroma of amyl, sweat, and with just a hint of faeces really sets the scene.

Good weed does it all for me.

Poppers gives me a headache and its effects last for a short time. After the 3rd time inhaling it does not work for me any more. I much rather just stick with the weed.

You'd probably find me eating something odd like yellow cake batter and nodding off on the sofa.

I used to have one fuck buddy who ALWAYS required large amounts of pot to play -- and all I could think about was food when we fucked.  It was quite distracting.  Add to the fact that I always had to be a domineering top with him and, well, needless to say we only got together about once a year.
