to start of with i visited a massage parlour where the lady first cleaned me an then cleaned myself after which she tried to make me hard , later she guided my dick into her vagina , just few seconds after she did , i pulled out. i told her i just want a hand job , she used some lube and gave me one.i finished on my own after which she cleaned me again and i left with utter guilt.

three days later my girl friend gave me a blowjob and thats about it, a few days later i developed two small painless ulcers on my penile shaft , i did visit the doctor and he said its because of folliculitis infection that i usually have in my pubic region.i still wanted to test for stds and i took a test for herpes , syph , hiv , hsv1 came positive and the others came negative

it was heartbreaking to know i have hsv1 , i dont know if its its hsv1 of the genitals or oral but what started getting me paranoid is if i gave it to my partner.i got her tested three weeks from exposure where she came negative for hsv1 & hsv2 but one week later (4 weeks from exposure) she tested positive for hsv1.this itself was very hard to deal with knowing i gave her herpes.

but the paranoia did not stop there , three weeks from exposure to me she developed fever for a day and her throat started hurting a bit , she got on to antibiotics and the throat got better .. but she developed small pimple like bumps on her shoulder both on the left and on the right and has rash on her nose , a few days after we had that oral sex , she said she felt itchy , and she feels itchy here and there everyday. i got a thrid gen hiv test at week three that was negative followed by a test in week four that was negative again.

what is driving me crazy is her symptoms , first light fever with throat pain followed by this rash thats pimple like on her shoulder and small dots on her nose.and that constant itchy feeling that she has on her body , sometimes on her hands , sometimes on her face , sometimes on her thighs.

is it possible that i have contracted hiv from the massage parlour , then went on to transfer it to my partner four days later via oral sex , because i heard you are highly infectious in the acute phase of infection . is it possible that i infected her when she gave me a blow job.

i am really just absolutely devasted

If your intercourse was unprotected then yes you have put yourself at risk for HIV.
Your negative result at 4 weeks is encouraging but most will test positive at 6 weeks if they have been infected. That is why we recommend testing at 6 weeks and again at 13 to confirm your result.

For your partner giving a blow job is considered theoretical, the virus is sexually transmitted though unprotected anal and vaginal intercourse.

wade , i dint understand the part where you said "For your partner giving a blow job is considered theological" have you seen people claiming to get infected this way ? what are the chances that she contracts hiv through the blowjob she gave me ? what do u mske of her symptoms ?

We don't discuss symptoms as they could be from anything.
Giving oral is considered theoretical and it would involve many factors such as having large open wounds in your mouth in need of medical attention, I doubt that was the case.

Also a persons mouth has dozens of proteins and enzymes that damage the virus and render it unable to infect.

Test at 6 weeks and again at 13 to confirm your result.

Use condoms going forward and practice safer sex.

Hi wade , I tested at 8 weeks and it came back negative , but when I asked the lab they said their method was a third generation elisa , does it mean I still have to worry that I might end up positive in a week or two ? I know the fourth gen are the best and conclusive at 8 weeks but what about a negative third gen result at 8 week ? Is that good or still indefinative ?

Most will test positive by six weeks if infected and I doubt very much your negative result will change at this point. The third generation test will give you the same reliable result.

Just test for confirmation at 13 weeks and it will be safe to move on.
