can you take simastatin with atripla?

Hi. Does anyone know if you can  take simastatin with atripla? Are there any interaction s  etc? Thank you

X 2 a day...9 aug 2018 ud. 2n Nov 2018 CD 4. 455..22.70% 13th Nov switched  to lamivir and nevirapine  due to kidney issues...jan 10,2019 UD..may 13 2019 ud  cd4 482 28% 14th nov 2019 ud. I thought your doctor was switching you to atorvastatin?

This is just an online interaction checker list and not a replacement for a doctor or a qualified pharmacists. I added simvastatin, enalapril, omeprazole, Atripla (efavirenz / emtricitabine / tenofovir) and Easprin (aspirin) for you.

The problem is interactions may not be applicable depending on how/strength and when drugs are taken and may not apply to all patients, also sometimes a doctor will be taking this into account. Check with a qualified pharmacists or your doctor.

My doctor made me switch from simvastatin (Zocor) to atorvastatin (Lipitor) when I started Atripla back in 2005.  I take the 20 mg atorvastatin (same dose as I had with the simvastatin).  I have had no issues over the last 12 yrs.

Of course, that is MY doctor's recommendation for ME -- you should talk with your doctor.

Yes I have been switched to  atorvastatin 20mg from simastatin 40mg' I had no side effects with simastatin but notice slight pain under left rib cage with atorvastatin, I may ask to be changed to mevalotin or crestor, thanks
