Anxiety, Depression and Panic Attacks
« on: January 10, 2020, 11:56:32 am »
Hi I am from India, My CD4 is 874, VL is 250 copies,
I am getting ART from GOVERNMENT subsidiary TDF+LMV+EFZ for free.

I am getting Anxiety, Depression( feeling lonely, hopelessness, angy, abnormal dreams) and Panic Attacks incurred intervals like six months or sometimes vary. Private Doctor is suggested to me changing the regimen may help, and it is very costly getting private which is not affordable for me anymore.

Any way we have the least options to change the regimen like developed countries.

And Govt norms are not accepted to change the regimen with my numbers :'( :'(.

And my questions are:
1. Are any one have this problem on this regimen?
2. Why I am getting these problems now after being this regimen from long time
3. Is there any option to subsidize the this issues without Changing my regimen?
4. Are PLHIV got itself these problems.?
5. Is homeopathic medicines will help to calm my mind?

Sorry for my long question, kindly help me out

Sorry you are  having problems with your treatment regiment...

It may well be the EFV part of the treatment.   It caused similar problems for me.  Tedious dreams and very moody.  Stopped as soon as i switched out the EFV for RPV.
Edurant.

Can the government program split up the pills.  Can you get RPV?

Or a PI or a integrese inhibitor?

Hope you can resolve this qickly.

Your country makes the cheap generic versions.  Can you afford any of them or do you need the gov free meds/    Can you take a reduced amount of EVP say 400 mg instead of 600 mg?

Those are all questions to ask your doctor.

No They are not ready to split, I am trying privately. But still in thinking which regimen fit in my budget.

Now I resumed again (1) Fluxetine 20 mg - Daily One Time and dropped Alprazolam cause Insomnia gone out, Now I am sleeping very well.

I am very Lazy Fellow to wake up early morning, but practicing Hatha Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation. Which are calming my mind.

Will update you both a week after, how the things are going.

Thanks again @Expat1, @Jim Allen

You're welcome.

Glad to hear you are at least getting sleep now, being without sufficient good sleep & rest is a nightmare.
Depression is not overcome in a day, but, you are working on it and not alone.

Okay well, that sucks. Did they at least suggest what meds would be suitable to switch to?

I did not remember well but he might suggested me below regiments

1) Tenofovir +Lamivudine+ Lopinavir/Ritonavir
(or)
2)  DRV+Lopinavir/Ritonavir

And I am sleeping now very well without any vivid dreams ( nightmares)
I am having Panic Attacks which will lasts me 15 to 30 minutes, after that I recover. Which are more difficult to bear if I have when on my office timings.

Tremors in my brain, crawling on my forehead are continuing which may be due to fluoxetine as you said in your earlier thread.

Thanks Again @Jim Allen
