How to get AIDS medication in Thailand...
« on: March 07, 2007, 09:23:00 am »
I am a man from the Netherlands. I am HIV+, but I really want to live in a Thai temple and study and practise Buddhism. The problem is to get my medication. Perheps you know some possibilities for me.
I was already monk in Thailand, but I disrobed. I tried to find my way here in The Netherlands again, but I cannot.
I can go back to some temples to stay there, the only problem is the visa and to get my medication. I heard already from the 30-baht arrangement for Thai people. Other people told me that tit is possible to get the medication for around 4000 Bath each month in local hospitals. I also heard that now Thailand can also produce the HIV medication on its own and the the prices are still much lower. So can you give me perhaps some information.
Is it possible to get a job in Thailand to finance these costs? How can I do that? I have a master degree in Law and a bachelor degree in theology and philosophy and I worked for dutch and Belgian government.
Can you give me some advice? Please...
Thanks in advance...

when i was in thailand with my bf. (he is neg) we had a little accident. he thought i infected him by touching my cum with a small cut on his hand. anyways he rushed to the hospital to get pep treatment (just in case) and the bill came to about 30000bht for 1 month's worth of supplies. i don't know if they're ripping us off or that's really how much the meds cost..
