Anxiety from kiss bite and oral sex
« on: February 15, 2018, 07:03:57 pm »
Hello,

Last sunday I was in a dance club and I meet a guy (unknown status) and we started to have deep kiss, both male. For about 15 minutes we kissed and probably from he being drunk he was using his tongue really intensively and was bitting my cracked lips (cold weather) with his teeth really hard until I could see that there was some blood coming from my lips a little later. I don't know how well his mouth was, but I remember not doing this kind of thing to him at all.

After a few minutes we went to the club's bathroom and I gave him some oral sex (I don't know if there was any pre-cum involved).

It's probably my anxiety since I've been reading of no transmissions from kissing, even with blood since the saliva neutralizes it and the lips being a place already exposed to the air, which would "kill" the possibilities too even with the contact of his blood if any or pre-cum, correct?

The interior of my mouth was intact all the time, and the oral sex was briefly, but my anxiety keeps playing with me since then..

For the reasons noted in your post, you are not at risk of HIV-infection from the activities described.

Kissing is not a risk for transmission of the HIV, regardless of the condition of your lips and any residual blood from your partner.

Providing unprotected oral sex to a male is a theoretical risk, only if your mouth contains gaping wounds (think "meth mouth"), which is not your case.

However, unprotected oral sex of any kind could potentially expose someone to other STD's/STI's.

So i took the hiv test (4th gen) after 6 weeks and of course it came out negative. I did understand that I was in no risk situation from the situation above but I took the opportunity to check my health since it was the first time doing a HIV test and my sex life has been really active so i thought "why not just see if everything is ok?".

I would like to thanks for the great support, this forum was of great help during my anxiety days and I've learned a lot about preventing myself while reading different threads.

Yeah you simply had no risk to test for.

Read this
https://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=68441.0

Going forward follow this:

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions.

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

More information on HIV Basics, PEP, TaSP and Transmission can be found through the links in my signature to our POZ pages, this includes information on HIV Testing

Kind regards

Jim
