Kaletra/Truvada Combo - Time to Change ?

I started my meds Kaletra/Truvada December 2007. It quickly increased my T count and I was quickly undetectable. I have been on this combo for almost 2 years and have had no side effects and I'm in pretty good health. However I have heard that Kaletra is a hard drug on the body and very toxic. I heard that its' great for getting quick results, but now that my viro load is undetectable and my T count is good, I may want to switch to a med easier on my body. I plan to discuss this with my doctor next month, but just wanted some personal experiences on Kaletra. Can it be a long term med if no side effects at the moment? Can I expect some issues if I continue my current combo?

It's a bit of an urban myth it's "hard on the body"

Kaletra may increase your cholesterol/cardiovascular risk relative to other PIs - your doc can calculate this- and tis true other combos can be kinder. So worth investigating a switch if you feel inclined, but it's not a mega-nono to take your time to investigate properly. Other combos will have unknown side effects from your point of view, and this is worth bearing this in mind (ie the disruption if these indeed occur on switching).
