I like her. She is very down-to-earth, pretty honest about things, and she is one of the people who pushes more for cure research.

Also, her accent works in her favour, it makes it hard not to take notice of her words.  ;)

That was my impression, too...

Anyway, what matters is not what some high-profile scientists say. They are not oracles. And in general, reputable scientists are always very cautious with their statements. They are not salesmen after all.
What I think matters more than statements of individual scientists is actual progress in the research towards better therapy, vaccines and eventually some sort of cure.
