How high is the risk.....?
« on: November 02, 2009, 09:01:25 am »
Hi,
last few days i had a sexual contact with a woman, but whe had no sex.
She masturbats herself with her finger and after that she gives me a handjob but during the handjob she
toutched her clitoris with the same hand she finished the handjob on me.
So during the handjob there was vagina fluid on my penis.

How is the risk to become hiv in this case???

I know that vagina fluid is only infectious around the cervix. Andy wrote that several times here in some postings but
why they talk in every other forums only from fluid in the whole vagina??? there is never a conversation about vagina cervix fluid.....!?!?

sorry for my bad english this is not my native language and talkin about medical things is 2 times harder to explain.....

Peter,

It doesn't matter if there was vaginal fluid on her hands when she gave you a handjob. Getting a handjob isn't a risk no matter what details you want to add. Hiv is a very fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body during unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the human body. Once hiv finds itself outside the body, small changes in temperature and pH and moisture levels quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect. Vaginal fluid of ANY type will not infect once it's outside the body. It being on her hand is outside the body.

You did NOT have a risk.

As for what other websites say about hiv transmission, many of them are very vague, general, and often misinformed. Many of the scaremonger. We don't. We give you the real deal.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER THIS SPECIFIC INCIDENT, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

hmmm.... okay, thx ann for this information. i wonder how "hard" it is to get infected with hiv... so the message is only take a protection when i have vaginal or anal intercourse?!?!
so when this is the only message i dont understand why there a so many "experts" who say that you can infected by other 10000 things.......
is there realy nobody who becomes infected from a handjob or similar things.....?!?!

You can keep torturing yourself and wondering and worrying all you want to. Ann has given you the real deal. We're not responsible for what you get from other sites and sources.

Always use condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse and you will be well protected. That may sound "too simple" to you, but we know that it works.

That response won't fly here. You're healthy and you need to focus on healthy, affirmative things in your life.
