Title: First blood test after begin treatment
Post by: Pek on September 26, 2012, 05:18:28 am
Hi guys,
I have been off for while because my girlfriend broke up with me because of my HIV status. I have been really sad lately. But after my blood test results Im kinda happy. So I came here to share with you.
I started taking VIRAMUNE, tenofovir and lamivudine 3 weeks before my blood test.
I had viral load of 9,540 and CD4 of 281.
Now it is viral load Undectable and CD4 of 348.
I dont know too much but I think it is great for 3 weeks on meds.
But there is one thing I didnt like too much and need help from someone who understand about the treatment.
My creatinine level before start meds was 1,06 mg/dl
After 4 weeks is 1,19 mg/dl
The normal range according to my lab is 0,70mg/dl to 1,30mg/dl
But my doctor said it was large increase for just 4 weeks. He said it was because of tenofovir so now I need to check it again and maybe change tenofovir for another med(I think he said sustiva). The problem is that I moved from my country and I ll take at least 1 month to start seen doctors here. Im taking meds normally( I have meds for almost 3 months). Is there a problem to wait 1 month to check the creatinine again?
Thanks a lot
