Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Risk assessment - am I worrying over nothing?

Greetings

I've read these boards for a while and appreciate the advice given on it.   I can predict what the responses will be to my questions but I still feel like there may be differences that make my situation unusual.    I know that gets said a lot too so maybe people just want to have their own specific scenario addressed.    Anyway...

I have two issues of concern.  

First,  met a girl in Honduras and we didn't have a condom so we were involved in deep kissing and I was fingering her.   Not worried about that but then I performed cunnilingus for a few minutes.  
I understand the theoretical nature of this risk. However,  my concerns are
 1) high rate of HIV in Honduras, could this mean a more easily transmistted strain in this area
 2) I have moderate gingivitis.  When I brush my gums sometimes but not all the time bleed.  They do seem swolllen sometimes too.  I had not brushed prior to the cunnilingus though.
 3) The next morning, I noticed a purple bruise on the underside of my lip.  Don't remember tasting any blood and it didn't hurt to touch or when eating so I don't think there was a break but who knows.  Maybe the deep kissing cause the bruise but it is worrisome with the oral sex.
Given all this,  is the consensus still that there is no risk for this?  This was a few months ago and no ARS symptoms for whatever that's worth.

The second issue was last weekend.  Met a transsexual sex worker.   There was licking of the scrotum and bottom of shaft which I am not worried about.   I also performed  insertive anal sex but she put two condoms on me.  I guess it's good she is extra concerned about protection but looking back, I realize two condoms may be more likely to break.  Penetration was only for a couple minutes.   I didn't notice any breakage - is it really completely obvious?    I've read some concerning warnings about double bagging but it still seems like it would be really bad luck to have two break at the same time.
 
Does anyone think testing is needed to be on the safe side?  I have been spending way too much time thinking about this and it's starting to get to me.  Thanks in advance.

Oral sex does not transmit HIV.

OK, so you feel that none of these extenuating circumstances increases the risk regarding the oral.   
Wondering if anyone from the fears forum has come back positive from anything other than unprotected anal/vaginal?

What about the double bagged insertive anal?   Is this a higher risk than single condom because of the breakage potential?    And assuming it didn't break,  is the urethra and the head on the penis really the only area that needs to be protected?
