Hey all,
I had quite a high risk HIV exposure a couple of months back, and havent been tested for HIV yet (nor had any more exposures) my question is, If I test positive, will I be still be able to drive a car in the UK? ive got a full license and need to be able to drive to my job (and sometimes for my job) so I wouldnt be able to continue in the same full time job.
So my question is, Will I still be able to drive my car in the UK if im HIV+

Why on earth would you not be able to drive if you're hiv positive? Life carries on, you know.
Get tested three months after whatever it is you're worrying about. Unless it was unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse, you're worrying over nothing.

I had risky unprotected vaginal sex with a woman who used to have regular sex (im assuming without protection) with a man who was/still is an IV Drug user (and also abuses other drugs and alcohol) Ive only had sex with her once

You need to know that HIV is not an easy virus to transmit. It's even more difficult to accomplish from female to male. Given that you had only a single unprotected incident, and all of the details you have reported notwithstanding, the odds are definitely in your favor against transmission having occured.
However, lower risk is not the same as no risk. So you need to learn from this experience. You can have intercourse with whomever you choose as long as you always without exception use a condom every time. They provide very effective protection.
