Broken condom anal sex
« on: February 03, 2016, 04:43:17 pm »
Hi,

I hadanal sex with a guy recently - I was the inserting parter. I used a condom, while I was inside I heard a loud pop, pulled it out looked at it was intact even around the head..went back in continued going at it...heard the voice in my head say 'you know what? Change the condom, you have loads.' I ignored it thinking it was fine I checked. I did look five mins later to find it was half way down the shaft... Head exposed.

Bitter irony how I wish I did what I told myself to earlier.

What level of risk am I looking at Please?

Thanks

Hi,

So until the condom broke it would have been protecting you, however as the condom did brake this means you did have a single possible exposure, and so  testing would be advised.

The guidelines are to test at 6 weeks past any incident and then at 13 weeks to confirm the result.  You can read about testing here: Testing Information. http://www.aidsmeds.com/articles/HIVtests_5029.shtml

If you are sexually active, it is highly recommended that you get a full sexual health check-up / screening at least annually including but not limited to hiv testing.

Remember that some sexual practices which may be described as ‘safe’ in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's. So please do get fully tested regularly for all STI's including HIV and more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs. Also note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

Finally use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid sexually transmitted hiv infection.

Kind regards

Jim

Hi,

Just to add to my post above that the receptive partner during unprotected anal intercourse is at a higher risk of HIV infection than the insertive partner.

More information on Transmission can also be found here:
Transmission Information

Kind regards

blood in spunk then masturbate / suck
« Reply #3 on: March 02, 2016, 06:49:55 pm »
Thanks for the previous advice...it was appreciated

I recently had anal sex with a guy- protected- it was hard anal sex. When he came there was blood in his spunk- he had a look with his fingers. It was tint (for description).

Then moved around wiping hands as he moved then wanked / sucked me off.

My question is...If any of the spunk/blood was on his hands how much of a risk is this as he wanked me off touching the dick head etc. I'm uncut.

Hi,

Read your update, it has a few "What if" and "Maybe's"

Wanking and getting a BJ is not a risk. Even if it was a bit of blood that was mixed with ejaculation, and he than touched his hands before wanking you it would not increase the risk for HIV transmission.

HIV simply does not survive outside the human body (such as on surfaces), once hiv finds itself outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH / moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect.  Also even if it was direct blood (And it was not) for this to be even slightly possible, it would require let's say open cuts that are actively bleeding. HIV needs to be present for it to be a risk and than to transmit it needs an effective route, in sufficient amounts and it must than also reach cells which are susceptible to infection.

Keep in mind as you are sexually active, it is highly recommended that you get a full sexual health check-up / screening at least annually including but not limited to hiv testing.
