Toward the end of that commercial the woman is looking at him, as though he needs to be put in a straight jacket !! ;D

One of my favorite commecials is the M@M'S commercial , where they are rowing a boat... Have you seen that one, Where they all break out into a chorus of "rock the boat"

The ads are obnoxious but I have to say the one with Little Richard makes me chuckle.

His expression is so totally twisted under that hair thing on his head that must have been shot under a sink..... It amuses me that corporate execs don't get that he's again "Slippin' 'n Sliddin' and good gollying Miss Molly while having the last laugh.

Go LR you lovable maniac, GO!

I love both those commercials. Btw Charo is one of the greatest classical guitarists around I kid you not . She was trained by the great Spanish legend Segovia!

I think the whole series of Geico commercials is good - esp the one where burt Bacharach sings about getting "hit in the rear".

The one that *sucks* is "THIS TIME, PAYBACK IS FOR REAL" (movie announcer dude) ... HATE IT

Charo and LR I can deal with - Much prefer them over the gecko with his *bogus* British accent - you can tell the accent is fake British. Thumbs down!

That commercial just came on TV. Like a train wreck, I could not look away. Little Richard is a scary, scary man.

Did anybody see that old bad TV show the other night, something about "Celebrity Duets?".   Marie Osmond and Little Richard were two of the judges.....

I really believe we have reached an all-time LOW.   You know you're getting old when you prefer to keep your set tuned to TV Land instead of networks....

The "Mrs." I miss is the Mrs. Something or other whose chips were being sold at the stands in the Montreal airport. I bought a bag of them but didn't eat them until later in NY.

By then it was too late to stock up. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

NB. Any advice about HIV is given in addition to your own medical advice and not intended to replace it. You should never make clinical decisions based on what anyone says on the internet but rather check with your ID doctor first. Discussions from the internet are just that - Discussions. They may give you food for thought, but they should not direct you to do anything but fuel discussion.

I actually checked out GEICO(government employees insurance company) to see just "how much I could save..." best deal? $233.00 per year MORE than I pay now......Maybe they should take the money they pay for "OLD CELEBRITIES" to endorse their insurance and apply it to LOWER the rates they charge....! Mashed potatoes, Gravy, and Cranberry Sauce indeed! Little Richards ending squeal must have been due to looking to see how much HE could save....And Charo? I'd bet she would spit expletives in spanish alot faster if she checked for herself......HA HA HA. As far as the Gecko goes.....I could use a new reptile skin belt.....!

Actually I have been pretty well sastified with Geico. I have had them for the past 20 years, for auto insurance. A lot depends in the part of the country you are in. My auto insurance (full coverage) is 289.00 every 6 months. I have not been able to find it any cheaper then that, and maintain full coverage.

I currently have comprehensize, uninsured motorists, and Liability (considering the age of my truck, anything more would be Waste)....and I pay $134.00 every 6 months. I was with State Farm...Now I'm with Farm Bureau.... and have stayed with them for the last 4 years.....Like I said, GEICO was ALOT more.....

How old RU Ray....?

I am 54, with a clean driving record. I live in a heavely populated/ congested area,( which can affect rates), drive about 4 miles each way to work daily. I drive a 2001 Chevy.( No lean), I could easily drop some of the coverage, and get it down, to probably 200.00 every 6 months. Right now though, it's not that much of a burden, keeping the full coverage. My partner ( can't think of his insurance carrier off hand) has the same coverage, and he pays about 400.00 every 6 months. He also has excellant driving record, and he is the same age as I .He drives a 2004, Toyota Go figure !! :P   Now, HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE is a real disaster down here in Florida !!! Something definetly needs to be done about that. Thats another story !! >:(

Take Care----Ray

fine. i'll take ownership of my error that jake is not fake, however i know plenty of brits who sound MUCH more authentic than jake. and compared to these people, jake's accent sounds contrived ... i'll restate my position with succinct brevity: jake sucks

when the gecko fades into oblivion as did the macarena, it will be a glorious day indeed
