I don't know. I suppose it would depend on how your dr's filled out the paperwork and whether the judge (or board, whoever is looking at your case) determines if you're truly disabled or not.  I don't really know anything about you.

I am new to the world of SSI/disability but because I have just recently been approved for my disability I have a few things to say.
I understand that when filing for disability with regards to HIV/AIDS approval for me had to do with my T-cell count and the fact that I had several opportunistic infections.  Mine was approved quickly.  I heard from Social Security about two months after I had applied for the assistance.  I got SSI until my disability started.
I think to know more about your chances someone would need to know the nature of the disability you filed with (mental illness, AIDS).  What your t-cell are and have you had any opportunistic infections.
My ASO was helpful in my application and I was assured that if there would have been a problem, there was AIDS Law who would step in to help.
Good Luck getting your benefits.

I don't think anyone hear can tell you your chances since there are so many factors at play.

I was lucky and approved rather quickly but my disability check doesn't come from social security but a seperate fund set through the quasi-goverment agency I worked for previously.

What exactly your doctor put down and simply how you appeared during your interview can be factors.

Having said that I just wanted to wish you the best of luck.
