Who's planning on seeing a game while in Boston. Are you planning on buying tickets in advance or upon arrival.

I would LOVE going to a game.

it sounds like Monday is the best day.   If we can get a list going then we can probably go on-line and buy some bleacher tickets and all sit together.

I just glanced at the schedule.  OMG..  They're playing the YANKEES.  That's good stuff.  I mean that's like the Yin and Yang of Baseball.  The Lucy and Ricky of TV.  Talk about a team of rivals.

The game starts at 1:05P.  It just might  be sold out.  It is a day game, though, so we might have a chance.

On Tues, Detroit comes into town.  That's a night game that starts at 7:10p so that's a possibility for those still there Tues. night.

Hey Robert,

I think you misread their schedule.  According to redsox.com -- They play the Yankees in NY on Sunday afternoon.  Detriot arrives on Monday for 4 nights.  These are the only home games around the AMG.  Which, actually, is a good thing -- getting a goup of tickets to a game against the Yankee's would take a minor miracle at this point in time.

I'd definitely be up for a Red Sox game -- haven't been to Fenway in at least 10 yrs now.

I (or someone else) can try to logon to redsox.com and see if there are tickets at all available.  Give me an idea how many folks might want to go and I can try for the Monday night.  I will buy them in advance and we can work it out in Boston.

There are seats available for the Monday game at the official site. However, only single seats are available. We would be scattered about.

I did find a ticket agency (www.stubhub.com) that has tickets available. Here are some of the prices.
     Bleacher 39 = $51.00
     Bleacher 42 = $47.00
     Bleacher 30 = $50.00

I would like to go.  But if we are all scattered about, I'll pass.  $50 is a bit of an investment to end up entertaining myself.

Yes, you are.  Well, Kind of.  ;)

If we purchase tickets through the official Red Sox website we would be scattered about.

However, if we went through the ticket broker, www.stubhub.com, we would be sitting togethor.

Count me in also...worth it to pay the higher price and sit together.  I also had looked and saw that only single tickets were available from the redsox.com site.

I've nevr used stubhub.com either. I knew there had to be tickets out there somewhere so I did a search for Red Sox ticket brokers and they were first.

Jody, I'm flying out of town tonight for a few day, so if you could help coordinate this, I know everyone would be most appreciative. So far the following have shown interest. Perhpas we could give others some time to notice this thread.

Consider it noticed, at least by me.  I will take a pass on the baseball game but wanted to respond so I don't get accused of not paying attention.  :D

It is possible to have seats together by purchasing through Stub Hub.  They had about 3000 seats available for the Monday night game throughout the stadium.  Cheapest price was for bleachers (which would not be that pleasant) but some outfield grandstand seats were just a bit more.  Major League baseball isn't cheap even at non broker prices, but the chance to see a game in historic Fenway Park would be worthwhile to me!  I hope we decide to do this even with a smaller group.

I checked out stubhub.com and they had some SRO (standing room only) and center field bleachers (8 tickets) for about 50-60 dollars each.  The only negatives is that tickets can arrive as litttle as one day in advance which means I would already be in Boston, so I don't know the logistics of this method. Also tickets arrive via Fed Ex and I might miss their weekday delivery).

You can change your shipping address. If necessary, you can have them shipped to the hotel.

Also, tickets can be picked up at Fenway Park if purchased last minute.

They have quite a few bleacher seats as well as outfield grandstand seats available for around the $50 price mark.

I received in the mail today our 8 tix for Red Sox game, Monday 8/10 at 7 PM...They are right field grandstand seats, section 4, row 6.  Enter gate B.  The price on the tix are 30.00, thru stub hub I paid just over 50.00 which includes all the extras, so round down to 50.00 apiece.

Less than a month !!!
