Did I do things worse ? It's driving me insane
« on: November 02, 2011, 05:31:23 pm »
I had sex with a sex worker about 18 days ago , all her service was very clean and  she seemed clean,.. I asked her if she was clean  from stds and i gave her the option that if she wasn't sure I just do my thing by myself and pay her anyways , so she won't feel the pressure to lose a client , she said she was fine  ( but she could get contagious anytime even if she was tested a day before she could ve gotten anything from the person she was with before me ) she said thaT it was up to me to do it or not , well obviously I was all ready to do it ,  she putted on the condom on me and gave me some oral for about 2 minutes , i noticed she wasnt doing it all the way it was just half ways and superficial to make me excited ( i was already excited )also she used lubricant , we did it in missionary position for about 10 minutes but with all I ve read about herpes and stds getting on your skin , I wasn't doing penetration all the way in , I'd say Half ways inside her or the most three quarters inside her , and I was very aware about my pubic area or pelvis touching her , im almost sure i didnt touch her with my pelvis , also she wouldnt let me kiss her or kiss her neck and everytime i d get close to her face or neck or tried to smell her she would pushed me gently away  ... I guess she was concerned as well..I noticed most of the time she was with her fingers holding the condom and checking that it won't roll up...  Finally I finished cuz it was most mental that I was doing a pretty girl than physical , I finished , I took out the condom and she gave me a Wipey to clean up ,  she checked the condom to see if my sperm stayed inside , I d say it took me no More than 30 seconds to get up and go to the restroom to clean myself up , I don't know if I did things better or worse by applying on my genitals soap mixed up with hand sanitizer and I couldnt rinse everything off. ( oviously some soap residous had to stay on my genital area Cuz I wanted to leave ... I applied a good quantity of soap and hand sanitizer to my genitals including my scrotum ( I'm am unsircumsized and I don't know if left overs from the soap with HIV  let s say she has it , stays in my scrotum or in my penis or traveled inside my urethra )  I stayed there for about another 10 minutes to talk to her and then I went to my car and put some more hand sanitizer and that time it did burned my scrotum ... It was for a bit.  I don't know if the soap or sanitizer opened the pores and made my chances of getting HIV even higher to get inside my body .  10 minutes latter I got hm an showered. Put as many soaps ,  Ajax  and stuff that I found to wash my genitals cuz I was freaking out .  This is the cleanest sex worker that I ve been with, but u never really know their status , I analyze what I  did over and over but it drives me crazy the thought of what I did and oviously regret it .. All I know is ; I did what I can, but if u play with fire eventually you ll get burn..  I'm getting tested for sure ,but they recommend to get tested at least 3 months from possible exposure.

My questions are ;

1 can I get HIV If she used the cheapest condom here in the u s ? ( it really seem she knew what she was doing , but I never know )
2 can I get HIV if she gave me oral wih a condom on?
3 did I make things better or worse by applying hand sanitizer to my genitals , seconds after I took out the condom ?( or not big difference cuz I know I didn't have any cuts at the moment )
4 can HIV enter to the body through my pores  ( genitals  when I applied soap and hand sanitizer )
5 I am 29 yo ,in a healthy status , not std s , cancer , diabetis , nothing like that , if I take a HIV test after 1 month is it reliable ?
6 am I putting my gf in risk  from this situation ?
7 was it good that I did not have penetration all the way in ? Or her vaginal fluids are very contagious anyways ..? ( she wasn't very pleasured anyways cuz it was just for myself , so she wasn't very wet ?
Ps I'm getting tested but I just want to know your opinion... For u must be very stupid questions but please educate me.
I'm very stupid and I can't concentrate or sleep...

Nothing you posts indicates ANY risk for HIV infection.

Please reply ASAP !! Did I make things better or worse ? By applying soap mixed up with hand sanitizer right after sex ...? I had sex with a sex worker .. It was ten minutes max ... She put me the condom on , game me some oral for about two minutes ... We had sex missionary position and all the time behind my head was the thought of herpes or HIV and I didn't do penetration all the way in , half ways or the most third quarters inside of her .... She seemed clean and would t let me kiss her or every time I tried to smell her neck or stuff like that , she would pushed me away ... Right when I finished I took out the condom, not even a minute passed by and i ran inside the restroom and applied some antibacterial soap and hand sanitizer that she had in the restroom but couldn't really rinse everything off cuz I wanted to leave... 20 minutes latter I got hm and showered and put on all the soaps even Ajax and showered ...   I am all freaking out because I don't have any symptom and that s the scariest cuz most stds won't show any symptom , for sure I'm getting tested next month , because so far it s been 18 days and I do t want any false result , I'm freaking oh because last week I saw a red patch in my penis head but went away 10 hrs latter , I don't know if that was my first herpes outbreak ( no blisters ) and yesterday I saw a red patch( not very  right , just light red but it didn't look normal , I think ) same place  but it went away 10 hrs latter ... I don't know if I keep seeing things because of my guilty conscience or it's Going to get worse... I'm becoming paranoid... My question is from your point of view , if I made things worse by applying soap and sanitizer right after sex or what u think about my story ? Does that also sound like a herpes reaction the red patch appearing and dissappearing ?  In advance thanks  Seb ??? ???

For a start, it is very insulting to those of us who are hiv positive when you refer to someone as being "clean" when discussing their sexual health. I'm hiv positive, but I'm also clean, thank you very much. I shower daily. To say someone is clean when talking about hiv, it implies that those of us who are poz are dirty. So think before you speak/write.

You absolutely did NOT have a risk for hiv infection.

Condoms have been proven to prevent hiv infection. There have been three long-term studies of couples where one is positive and one is negative. In the couples who used condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, but no barrier for oral activities, not one of the negative partners became infected with hiv. Not one.

Sex workers use condoms to protect themselves, not you. If the condom had broken, it would have been very obvious. They do not develop tiny holes - that is a myth.

You asked about hiv being transmitted through pores - it is NOT. Hiv is NOT transmitted through skin-to-skin contact.

It does not matter what you used to wash with afterwards. It would not even matter if you did not wash at all.

Hiv is a fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is primarily transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in UNPROTECTED anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the two bodies.

Once outside the body, small changes in temperature, and pH and moisture levels all quickly damage the virus and render it unable to infect.

As far as putting your gf at risk, you should not be having unprotected intercourse with ANYONE until such time as you have tested TOGETHER.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST SPECIFICALLY OVER THIS SEX WORKER SITUATION, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

You were NOT at risk and you do NOT need to test for hiv.
