Sanitex:

Good question. While there has been some concern (http://www.aidsmeds.com/articles/1667_14733.shtml) about garlic and HIV meds in the past, it's important to note that the study highlighting here involved garlic supplements (which contains a high concentration of garlic) and unboosted Invirase, a protease inhibitor known to be VERY fickle when it comes to drug levels.

Today's HIV drug regimens shouldn't be a problem when it comes to using garlic to help reduce cholesterol levels, especially when you're talking about using fresh garlic.
