Green Tee - EGCG
« on: April 06, 2007, 10:10:30 am »
Hello,

I'm Regina from Germany. And I read about studies of EGCG showed the ability to prevent HIV from binding the CD4-cells. I don't want to drink green tea. As far as I know, only green tee is available as nutrition supplement. Has anybody an idea, where I can get the EGCG?

Regina

Hello Regina,

I am currently trying the green tea supplement. I made a comment about it, in this thread :

Thank you! Well, they want us to take the toxic meds. That's where the money is.

Hello Ray,

thank you. My problem is, I don't want to drink green tee, because I need my coffee. And in the supplement I don't want the coffeine from green tea additional to my coffee. I just want the EGCG. But this seems to be difficult. At first I will take a look in the health-food-shops.

I don't take the toxic meds. I take St. John's wort, some vitamines and practice Jin Shin Jyutsu. And it seems that the EGCG fits in this concept. Above all I go swimming in the sea the whole year, also in winter.

Hello Regina,

You do realise, that no matter what we take as supplements and vitamins, the virus continues within us. And then, eventually the medication is needed.

I hope you get you viral load and t-cell blood test done on a regular basis. It's important to keep that checked. How are your current numbers ? Also, when the time comes to start on medication, you should probably drop the St Johns Wort, as it interferes with some of the HIV medication, especially ( I believe ) the protease inhibitors.

I wish you good health for a very long time. Just stay on top of your blood tests.
