Hi everyone,

I hope someone can give me some suggestions.

Here is my situation. I will be between jobs soon. However, the new insurance will kick in after one month, so I need one month supplies of Atripla.

My current job offers COBRA, and it costs me more than $600 for the one month COBRA insurance. I heard that there is a generic version of Atripla (made in India?). How much are they for one month supplies? Where can I get them? How long will it take to get them?

Or anyone has one month supplies of Atripla (like changing meds, not need them anymore) to sell at an affordable price?

Please, I need some suggestions.

Gary

Hi Buttom and welcome to the forum . I hope you manage to get what you need but I want you to know that we do not condone the selling of medications on this website .

If somebody chooses to help you out of a jam then that's a private matter between the two of you but if somebody offers to sell you anything on this site please report them to a moderator .

Helping out with extra or spare HIV meds is a good thing but selling them is pretty low in my book . Best of luck and again , welcome .

Hey Buttom,

I take Teva-Nevirapine, which is the generic Viramune in Canada.  I found a 60 day supply for $95 on this site.  http://www.canadadrugs.com/prescription/product/Teva-Nevirapine%20200mg/14000/

If that won't work, try your local ASO or even your state health department.  There are some programs (ADAP/Ryan White) that you may be able to access to get your meds covered for the month between coverage.

Thank you guys!

Jeff G, I did not know selling medications is prohibited on this forum, sorry!

killfoile, thanks for the link, I will check it out.

Also, has anyone had experiences with Global Pharmacy Canada, www.gpchealth.com? They offer generic Atripla. But since there are so many fake pharmacies online, I want to be cautious.

Thanks again!

The generic version of Atripla is Viraday.  It's made by Cipla, a reputable Indian manufacturer of generic drugs.

I did some research very recently on available HIV generics and found this:

http://www.inhousepharmacy.biz/p-6-viraday.aspx

And some reviews about them here:

http://www.pharmacyreviewer.com/forum/pharmacies-not-yet-featured-reviews-section/18081-inhousepharmacy-biz.html

I have not used them.
