My Boys (a little update)
« on: October 25, 2007, 04:05:15 am »
Sorry guys, I mean the four legged one's... ;)

Went to pick up my little boy today..and came away with his little brother as well, I didn't have the heart to seperate them.

So let me introduce you to Jay on the right, he was peeing as I took the photo, he has no manners whatsoever but we will soon sort that out.. :D...and his brother Jody.

Tonight they sleep in the garage and tommorrow they will join the others for a short time in the paddocks to see how they get on..but will sleep seperate from them in the holding pen until they are a little bigger, they will be bottle fed for the next 4 weeks...they are so beautiful, Jacob would have loved his little brothers.

Hugs
Jan :-*

Thanks to all for your kind words about my new babies.

Jody..I had a feeling he would be your favourite, adn just like his name sake he had the sweetest nature..yes his ears do stand up and his legs are a little longer than his brothers too.. ;)

Rod..Glad you like the hat, I wear it all the time when I'm out and about...and my coffee tastes better too... :D

Pete...I have six now...and I'm already known as the crazy goat lady, I'm still registered with the RSPCA as a "foster mum" to sick or neglected goats..but thankfully I have only had two in the 9/10 weeks and was able to find good homes for them.

Thanks again everyone and thanks for letting me share my animals with you.

Hugs

Pete, thinking Jan is crazy is just BAA-A-A-A-A-A-A-AD!!

Jan, they are adorable! I'm sure I've told you how much I love baby goats.  If not, well, I love to get down on my hands and knees with them, because they play so much, wanting to mash their heads to yours before they learn to butt, and jump on your back, etc,

However, it's all fun and games until someone puts their hands in pellets...

Basquo..most of my time has been taken up with the kids today, they are so demanding and think I'm here just to play with them, I've been jumped on, stood on and head butted more than a few times today..and loved every minute of it.. ;)

Pete...You made my day, now I can boast to my friends that I have a fan club of one.. :D

As for naming a goat after you..can you change your name to one that starts with a "J"..so far we have John Boy, Jack, Jenni, Jay, Jody and Simon, Simon was a foster goat that I fell in love with and he already had his name so we didn't want to change it..poor old simon... :D

Hugs to you both.

Irrespective of their genders I nominate them jointly to be the first monthly Ms. & Mr. AIDS MEDS.

They're adorable, Jan.

If I let my son Ben see them he's gonna want 'em. He's another total animal lover who regularly e mails me pictures of his dog and cats.

Hi

Just a wee update on the new kids..I took them into the paddocks today for the first time to meet all the others..the goats were like "forget the kids, where's the food", not much interest there they'd seen it all before,  but the Alpacas were fascinated by them.

They loved being in the paddocks so we left them there and they have settled down really well.

Jan -- Gary (my BF) and I have been talking for years about a possible vacation in New Zealand.  Visiting you & Jim would be a must stop on any trip we planned.  These cute new kids of yours might be adults by the time we finally get our act together to visit your gorgeous country, but don't be surprised if we show up on your doorstep one day!

Great pics!

Hi Jan~

Jody and Jay are absolutely adorable!  They appear so docile and innocent, they look soft, too!  The last pics you posted really put it into perspective as to how small they really are.  I'm sure they are growing fast, so watch out for those head butts!

The picture of Mickey with your dog in the background and the beautiful land on which you live almost seems unreal!  Talk about therapy in "Jan's Garden!"

Enjoy the new kids!   :D

Hi Queenie

I have only ever had one cat, one my dad found many, many years ago and brought it home, I loved it but Mum wasn't so keen, she was always a dog lover.

A friend of mine has two beautiful "Rag Doll" cats and I just love them..but I don't think Annie and Rocky (my dogs) would appreciate me bringing a cat into the house.. :D.
