Now This Is Fake News

From an article about increasing the use of Truvada in the military comes this statement:

That amount is lower than paying for more incidences of HIV infection. The typical treatment, through regularly taking antiretroviral medications, can cost $450,000 annually per person.

450K per year for HIV meds for one person???  Seems like a soft bash against HIV from a conservative media outlet.

This is I think the same report from one of the UK's crap-peddling newspapers

Interesting, the $450,000 number shows up here, but NOT to reflect cost per person per year, but rather the saving (presumably over a lifetime) of treating HIV which should justify the drug being used.

my "lifetime" (so far) medication cost is well over the lowest estimate of $840,000. If I live as long as my grandmother has (100 yrs, so far. she hits 101 in Aug) then my medication costs will be well over $2,284,800  :o
