What are you on now?

several regimens are already once a day dosing, and taking 1 pill really isn't that much different from taking 3 or so. in the vein of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", why would anyone want to change from an already working regimen to something else?

To limit side effects, I swapped from Atripla to Complera for a lack of side effects.  Complera is letting me sleep a lot better but it HAS to be taken with a meal which is frustrating, because if you're not hungry it doesn't matter.  If the quad pill is similarly without side effects and no meal requirement I would want to swap to it.

What is this quad pill? Not heard of it til now!

But then I don't pay close enough attention to these things, could spend all day obsessing otherwise  :P

I have been thinking about switching off Atripla lately although I haven't made any firm decision about it.  I probably won't take Complera because I take heartburn medication sometimes and it's contradictory.  I have thought about the quad pill but with it being so new I'm not sold just yet.  There is word now that it can cause Kidney problems (even more so than just Truvada) so that's a concern.

Decisions decisions

To limit side effects
which implies a NOT properly working regimen ie it would be broken and deserving of a change or something to reduce the side effects. ;)

but it HAS to be taken with a meal which is frustrating, because if you're not hungry it doesn't matter.  If the quad pill is similarly without side effects and no meal requirement I would want to swap to it.
you skip dinner so often that this would be a problem? ok  ;)
I take my R/N/T every night with dinner

miss p- I'm on truvada/selzentry for about a year and a half

yea thats what I'm thinking sometimes too is if I'm doing ok why switch. though just one pill in morning is cool. ditching that night time pill would be nice.
atripla im not gonna do because I'm already nuts, and complera i can't do because of the acid reflux meds.
on the kidney thing, my dr told me the other day that tests sometimes show that an elevated kidney something or another that is a false result? i don't know.
might wait for it when its made with the new truvada light.

i'm really liking my new combo, the isentress and boosted Prezista, i have zero side-effects really.  This is something my doctor is experimenting with me with only a dual combo versus triple combo.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that all is still well and undetectable, will have labs done soon since been over 4 months.  I'd sure like to keep off the Truvada at all costs since it did a number on my nerves.

Hello Ladies and Gents...
I am currently on a double blind clinical trial with the 'quad' and 'quad2'.  Diagnosed January 1, 2012.  Started '?quad?' April 24th with viral load 33K and CD4 @ 331.  The side effects are nonexistent!!  I spoke to my clinical trial director 5/22/12 and was informed my viral load was at or below 50.  My partner is waiting to start meds till quad is officially released later this year.

Trial Director numbers were slightly off.
4/24/12 started Quad
Viral Load - 33,000
CD4 - 331
5/8/12
Viral Load - 124
CD4 - 419
Doctor says my results are very typical with the Quad Pill.

Was extremely pleased with results.  Felt good to give my parents some good news.  Side effects are still nil from the meds.  And I think the overall 'crappy' feeling I've had since contracting is slowly starting to lift.  My experience with ALL this is extremely limited, but happy to share all.  Best wishes man.

Currently been on the Quad/Quad2 for just over a month. (4/24-5/31)  Lab results as of 5/22...CD4 - 419 and VL -  UD @ 30.  Still have not experienced any side effects and overall I am feeling great.  Doctor heading the study says my results are very typical with the Quad.

Just received latest labs.
VL less then 20 and CD4 593 26.1%
Started meds 2 months ago.  I can now identify the side effects from meds.  I dose everyday between 11am and Noon.
1 hour after meds, slight headache, light/moderate gas, mild Nausea most days (rarely moderate) diarrhea most days, and occasional flushing of the face.  And not sure why or what's causing but both right a left legs are slightly numb at the shin down to top of feet.  Doctor seemed slightly perplexed, but said will wait till next appt. in July to react if still evident. wtf?!
Overall the effects are all mild and easily tolerable, but it would nice to have a day/week where I felt GREAT again....Hope this helps guys, enjoy the week.

Also, since I contracted in December I have constant Indigestion.  The kind where you need to burp but cannot.  Does anyone know any remedy preferably natural that might help or at least take the edge off.

I have found that if you are not good and do not take it with a good meal you better have lots of good reading as you will set up camp in the john.

The Quad pill or Complera?
