no fat diet, vegan diet please post your experiences,

no fat diet, vegan diet please post your experiences, did your numbers seem to stay level

i just got an email from a friend who said...
"also remembered something that i thought you might find interesting:  the ONLY time i ever had an undetectable viral load prior to going on meds, i was eating a vegan diet.  maybe it was a lab error ... but who knows?  the viral coating is made of fat."

hiv has lipid coat, and i have been thinking for some time if one was to lower the fat content of the blood, which is very difficult, for an average person, like there is 2 liters of fat like butter flowing in the human blood

anyway i have been thinking that since hiv hides from immune system by having this fat coat, if there was less fat in blood to hide around perhaps immune system would find the hiv more and keep it in check

i have been thinking this for many months

and it is kind of strange that in old days before meds, people lost weight and seemed to get to plateus where at a super lean state their body immune system was able to keep virus in check for a long time
back in the old days, of course i am not suggesting being that lean but

anyone on a  no fat diet, vegan diet please post your experiences with cd4 and VL

what is vegan diet anyway

Come again?  Care to clarify this little part a bit further?  This is certainly news to me.

Ahem...for what it's worth:  a vegan  diet is one that makes no use of animal products whatsoever.  This is more extreme than a vegetarian diet - this one means no milk, no dairy of any kind, no shortening, no eggs, NOTHING that comes from an animal AT ALL.  It can be a pretty tricky diet to maintain in today's world, but possible.

Sounds like a major crock to me or a notion induced by cannabis or peyote.  If your friend did have an undetectable viral load while not on med in the presence of positive ELISA and Western blot, doctors should be begging for his blood to study.  Highly restrictive diets are rarely advantageous to the bodies of omnivores.

Sounds like a crock of BS to me also. Your consistantly asking people to post about their experiences. I think people are getting a little tired of it. Especially when you should be responding to some posts, and you just seem to ignore ...

Worry about your own body. My experiences are exactly that, MINE ! When I want to share it, I will. You need to get your crap together ! Are you on meds yet ?  At the end of the post, you ask " What is a vegan diet anyways?"
Research it,....your good at that.

I'm sure this will be posted in Bim's long thread in "Research News."
