confusing test
« on: September 22, 2017, 08:57:57 am »
I have had an HIV test after about 50 days after exposure the doctors were confused when I said 4th or 3rd generation they said we are going to do an accurate test any way it was so cheap around 6 dollars only (in Malaysia) and I received the result exactly after only 24 hours even though they told me it may take them from 5 days to a week.
the result came back HIV 1, 2 ab/ag non reactive

can you please answer my questions?
1- my partner was African girl and I have heard that p24 doesnot detect hiv2 so maybe the test was cheap and not accurate if I don't have antibodies yet? (cus i feel like a flu right now so maybe now iam developing the antibodies not sure)
2-is that the duo test?
3- is it rapid or something it came back so fast that iam not sure about how they did it,
4- isnot that price so cheap for a test like that iam afraid they used a cheap method?
5- the doctor said no need for any more tests but iam still worried
6- test was antibody and antigen is there any other test beside 4th generation or duo test that looks for both ab and ag or not?
7-is it possible that they used an old method for the testing maybe 2nd generation or something iam so sorry for my questions I just don't know a lot about these tests all I want is my test to be 4th generation and conclusive

note : I have done tests for all STD before in Malaysia many times and they took at least a week and now only 1 day only its weird?
and my exposure was very low risk almost zero but i just want to know about these tests and do i need any confirmation one later?
thanks

First off, what was your risk ? You may be worried over nothing.
Second I don't know what test you were given, but a negative result will not usually after 6 weeks . You still must test at 13 weeks to confirm your result.

many have told me that antibody and antigen test is pretty much accurate my risk was oral receiver 49 minutes protected and 20 seconds not i stimulated her vagina i received rubbing but with some scratches and wound on my thigh and testicles due to some kind of itchy fungal infection and maybe 7 dry lips kisses , all i want to know that can 4th generation test this cheap? and if it is indeed 4th generation is it conclusive at 50 days because it can maybe detect either antibodies or the p24 antigen

forgot to mention that the rubbing was direct contact between her vagina and the scratches , and please can the test show the results only in 24 hours?

Yes, the tests you took are accurate and I don't know why they were so inexpensive.
Confirmation is at 13 weeks and you can expect a negative result then as well because you had NO risk.

No one has ever been infected by receiving a blow job since the epidemic began and you will not be the first. Kissing nor rubbing are not risks either.
It is safe to move on
