CLOSED Scupltra Patient Assistance Program CLOSED
(1/1)
kara2119:
I've been a recipient of the Sculptra Patient Assistance Program for the past 17 years and was recently denied more Sculptra because 'I have Medicare'. I've had Medicare since 1998 and Galderma supported my need for 17 years for my facial lipodystrophy caused by long term HIV, who the product and PAP was designed for. The Galderma rep told me there is no appeals process and no board to who I can express grievances. We all know that Medicare will never approve Sculptra because they consider Sculptra an elective cosmetic product. Galderma has successfully stabbed our HIV community in the back and we're screwed. Integra, the Galderma PAP rep, told me that this happened because of a new 'backlash law' which she's not allowed to discuss. My doctor researched this law as says it doesn't apply to patient assistance programs. I should mention that Integra told me that Galderma PAP is under the management of a new company and they're the ones who changed the qualifications for Sculptra patients with Medicare. Here's the letter from Galderma:
