at risk? seriously annoying...
« on: January 07, 2011, 10:15:41 am »
Hi, first of all, i would like to thank you for giving your time to read my post.

I'm 21,male who visited to Bangkok,Thailand. There, I went to entertainment complex and enjoyed soapy massage with a girl costing 2500 Bahts + 200 Bahts for tips. This was my very first experience and i was virgin before. The period was very exotic and i couldn't refuse sex and i had once.

She wore condom of trade-name unknown on my p****. I was circumcised. She gave me blowjob about 10 seconds with condom. Then she started vaginal sex. I noticed that i was wearing condom. It lasts about not more than 5 minutes and then i ejeculated inside. Then she uses some tissue and take the condom off.  I didn't know the condom broke or not during sex. I hope no. We didn't perform french kiss.

What i am worrying now is that am i at risk for getting HIV? What if the condom broke?
Now, it's about 10 days after that exposure. I'm still not getting any flu, sore throat of early HIV symptoms and i'm not still suffering some other STDs. So, how about my risk now?
Is STD mandatory to suffer before getting HIV?
What can i test now? Will ELISA work for me at about 2 week and how is it reliable or conclusive?
How about HIV check up for soapy massage girls in bangkok and do they get regularly?

I'm worrying seriously now and i even cried for that matter. I promised myself that i won't have any sex before marriage.

Please comment on my conditions. I apologize if i was using some rude words in my message or any usage that harm you. GOD Bless You All.
With much respects........

Exception,

Don't worry about using rude words here (unless you're using them to insult someone). We speak frankly about sex here.

Getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection, whether or not a condom is used.

If a condom breaks, it's really obvious. It would have been hanging off your penis and the sex worker most likely would have commented on it. Sex workers use condoms to protect themselves, not you, the customer.

You do not necessarily have to get one of the more easily transmitted STIs in order to become infected with hiv. However, you have no worries about hiv as you wore a condom. Condoms have been proven to prevent hiv infection.

Here's what you need to know in order to remain hiv negative:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER THIS SPECIFIC INCIDENT, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

Exception,

Yes, that's what I mean. I'm quite sure the sex worker would have mentioned it if the condom was damaged. As I said, sex workers use condoms to protect THEM, not you. She would have been upset if it broke.

You have not had a risk.

Thanks Again Ann for giving your precious time for me.. i'm much relieved now.

This is the final question and i won't ask anymore after that  under this topic.

Is that real or myth that Thailand soapy massage girls undergo regular medical check up and HIV control among sexworkers is very good nowadays...

Exception,

I have no idea how often Thai massage girls see their doctors.
