I also think the high CD4 numbers are due to valproic acid (Depakote)

Hi,
I live in Poland, HIV infected for 2,5 years. On clinical trial with maraviroc/combivir for one year. I am surprised that you have so high level of cd4  ::)
My cd4 desn't want to grow :( Since am taking drugs it reached 559 (from 221) and dropped again to 300 :( My viral load was over 100.000 in the beginning and now it's lower than 50. This is good I know but I'm wondering why my cd4 quantitatively and in percentage terms (I've got about 14%) doesn't grow?
I would also to ask you about your opinions and experiences with Maraviroc. How long you are taking this drug?

waiting for replies

regards,

azazel

Comments please,,I am on no meds, I have not seen a dr for a long time but I am on the 30th of Oct 06 and am NOT taking no Hiv Meds, only for pain for my legs and back. My legs kill me all the time and I have a bad disc in my back and my back kills my if I do ANYthing over 15 minutes. The dr will not do any surgury only an injection that did not work. I tried cymbalta and it stopped the pain but I could not tollerate the side effects.

I think it's not good to have so high level of CD4, more than normal... My doctor says the same.
