Mech,

Please don't use terms like "clean" when referring to someone's HIV status. It implies that HIV positive people are in someway "dirty". I'm HIV positive and I'm very clean. You may not realise it but using such terminology is insulting and highly offensive.

As for your specific concern, no you don't have to worry about HIV from copping a hummer.

Please take the time to read our Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) and follow the links to our Lessons to learn more about how HIV is and is not transmitted.

Can't you read? I believe I said:

As for your specific concern, no you don't have to worry about HIV from copping a hummer.

That means you don't have to test. You don't have HIV. Let me know if I'm not being clear enough for you.

By the way, thank you for your apology.

I don't why I can't get past this you say I have no worry but I do. The guilt is killing me. I have no one to talk to about this and this was outside of my marriage. I let my family down again.

Ah.

You're a man with queer tendencies in a heterosexual relationship, yes?

Mate let me assure you of one thing, you don't have HIV. Sure you may think your behaviour is deserving of punishment but letting another bloke suck your penor won't give you AIDS.

If you're having difficulty reconciling your sexual identity with your current relationship might I suggest you seek the assistance of a counselor. Seriously, some face-to-face therapy could really help you in resolving these issues and getting on with your life.

Best regards,

telling me I don't helps. I know its emotions that are driving me. I'm like I can't be ok till I get tested then I'll be ok and not have to worry. I look at my kids and want to cry. thanks for your help.

Hey Mech,

Don't despair. I appreciate the bind you find yourself in. Human sexuality is a complex beast and it's possible to be attracted to men and to women.

That doesn't mean you don't love and cherish your wife and kids. I've no doubt that you do. Seriously, get some counseling and try and work this stuff out. There is hope in all of this.

I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but it can be done.

Best wishes, :)

Title: risk?
Post by: mechfab on November 01, 2007, 02:16:08 pm
Hi everyone. I just need to ask a question here it may seem simple but it will help me out with my thinking.

Ok, oral sex performed on me only 3 mins tops. I know that my hiv status is neg. the person who performed on me unknown status ( there goes my for sure neg. HIV status)

Now there was no cuts or abbrassions on my shaft or head. I did find a pimple on my sack this morning that was not there on the day of the encounter. Now this morning I popped the pimple with a needle, ok that means that area the skin was intact no open wound or sore was present during the encounter. Been sweating alot.. worried about HIV transmission and the long wait to get a good test. If you could help that would be great.

Mech, I've merged your latest thread with your previous one. Please keep all of your comments in this same thread. Thanks for your cooperation.

As for your concern, in the entire history of the epidemic there has never been a case of HIV transmission documented of a guy getting infected from receiving a blowjob. So it's safe to say you aren't going to make history by becoming the first. Getting a blowjob is not a risk for HIV even if you had nicks, pimples and whatever on your dingus.

I will caution you against sticking needles into your parts. That's a swell way to get an infection.

As far as HIV is concerned you don't have anything to worry about nor is there any need for testing.

Cheers,

So all in all I did not put myself at risk by getting an unprotected blowjob? Guilt is killing me, wife, kids. Its hard I don't even want to touch them, I am afraid. Life sucks right now. The What if's plays on yor mind like what if he had bleeding gum that I didn't see? Did I have a cut my my penis?  I know that saliva does not transmit but what if it had blood in it? The mind plays terrible games.

Yes, your worries are all related to guilt. You didn't have a risk and it's time for you to move on. If getting a blowjob puts you through this much worry don't do it again.

OK, so as far as the risk factor is concerned there is nothing more to say except that no guy has ever been confirmed to have been infected by having his dick sucked. Not one. And you aren't going to make history by becoming the first.

You're a dawg like a lot of us and you went wandering for a new thrill or whatever. That's a bit of your personal history you can't undo. See it, accept that it happened, take a breath, let it go and get on with your life. That's the best thing you can do for all concerned. Really.

If you're in a state over having discovered you liked it and or want more or whatever you may be feeling about the experience besides attacking yourself with guilt like crazy, then I suggest that you talk with a therapist or other professional to sort out your feelings about it.

As far as HIV is concerned you have absolutely no cause for concern no matter what new details your mind comes up with to worry about. Really.

I fhad my ingerings inside this woman for about 15 minutes, my hand and fingers had no cut or sores. Should I let this go or should I go get tested its been six weeks since this has happend. I know my status is neg. Some sites yes it's a risk some don't? Even the cdc info line seems to be confused.

Fingering is absolutely NOT a risk for hiv infection. Not one person has ever been infected this way and you won't be the first.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

One last question,

Testing, I was thinking of getting tested at the 11 week mark forn the fingering event. Would lthis give me a good indicatiion of my status or just wait the 13 week time frame to get past this and get on with the life and fous on my marriage. I know that this well sit in the back of my mind.  I seen the doc's at  medhelp keep saying 8 weeks would be good enough. Yes I am going through and emotional time in my life and and have bee receieving some metal help in this regards, even he says that this is irrational thinking since no one has ever gotten HIV throught fingering.

Thank you for you help and guidance in this matter.  You all do a great good of providing valuable inforamation.

thank you again,
Mech

Mech,

You can test whenever you want over this NO RISK fingering incident. Your result is going to be conclusively negative.

If you read the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) before posting like you're supposed to, you will have read the following posting guideline:

Quote

Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Please consider yourself warned!

I just wanted to post and again thank  Ann for her information that she did provided me. I just tested at 11 weeks and of course it was negetive. Fear and anxiety plus the guilt of stepping out of my marriage really stressed me out. I have found a great therapist in dealing with this fear and more important issues.

Thank you again for providing the FACTS about HIV.

Ciao.
