I read that a few days ago when it went up. I've been on both Kaletra and Invirase at different times, and even at once time both at once. However, I was never on Invirase and Norvir together for some reason.
I took Invirase in early 1996 when it was the first Protease Inhibitor to come out. The early formulation was not that good and caused extensive diarreah. I'm not sure how long I was on it as obviously this was over a decade ago, nor do I recall what it was combined with. Whatever would have been standard at the time I guess. Norvir came out at the end of that year but I assume I was not put on that as I doubt it was customary to combine the two, plus wasn't Norvir liquid back then? I know I never took a liquid then so that rules it out.
I had Invirase added to my Kaletra regimen in '05 to tie me over until they could get me on the Fuzeon and Prezista regimen I'm currently on.
(this is why I didn't post this earlier as it's not but so applicable) :)))
Otherwise isn't there a big difference in pill amounts? Don't you have to take five (or is it four) Invirase and one Norvir compared to two Kaletra?

So it's 10 pills vs. 4 -- that's a big deal for some people making a choice between the two. I'm used to a lot of pills so I don't particularly care.
