question - my results
« on: June 07, 2017, 11:09:50 am »
Well it s that time of year again...
I got my results and am pretty sure they are good. Just a few questions before i meet my doc on the weekend:@
1. My VL stil UD (yippy!) but my CD4 is really high - over 1500@45% - is this OK? Anything to worry about here? Is there such a thing as a too high CD4?
2. Once again my Lymphocytes and Neurophils are out of range. Neurophils are at 35% (range between 40-75) and Lymphocytes are 53.7% (should be between 20-50).
Any thoughts or insights?

1:
In HIV negative population the average is about 40%, but the range considered “normal” is wide anything from 25/30 % upto 65%, so your 45% is just fine.

2:
Snapshot moment. Did your doctor say anything? Because if you are not feeling sick and your doctor is not worried, than personally I would not worry about a few odd % on a single test result, this varies per person and following things like illness just like anything else.

Congrats on your recovery. I was wondering the same thing about neutrophils and lymphocytes. Mine are a bit out of range too.  Dr. says my overall number of lymphocytes was good so he wasn't concerned, but wondering if this is a pattern typical of those living with the virus?

I was at the doctor yesterday and asked the same question. His response was that people with HIV normally are a bit our of range, it is nothing to worry about, i am consistent within the same numbers and don`t sweat it. Seems all is good.
