Fall on the Western Slope
« on: October 06, 2006, 09:38:52 pm »
Here are some photos I took Oct. 1 on a drive to Silverton. I thought folks might like seeing fall on the Western Slope of the Rockies. The aspens were just finishing their change.

The drive takes about 90 minutes from my home and is a load of fun.

HUGS,

Mark

Let's try this again.

OK, I don't know what I'm doing wrong. It looks OK on my screen, but comes out upside-down here.

Any suggestions?

HELP?!?!?!?

Mark

Mark..

it's so good to see those picturers.  The Sangre de Cristo's are absolutely beautiful in the fall.  I miss them.  By the way, did you ever read Lolita?  Humbert Humbert and Lolita drove that same road you did....

Mark,

Land of Enchantment indeed!  ;D

BTW, Rickie Lee Jones had a great jazz recording, "Traces of the Western Slope."  Can really get a sense of the musical influences for the song by your pic.

Take care,
John

Hello Mark,

Great picture !! I right clicked on it. My neck started hurting though !! :D Saved it to my pictures folder. And reopened it there. I then rotated it, so it was right again. Could see the fall in the trees.

Hi there

Just did what Ray did..saved it to my pictures and rotated it, and it looks even more wonderful the right way up...it would make a beautiful painting I'm going to give it a try.

Thanks again Mark..and thanks Ray, I now have a lovely photo of the "Western slopes of the Rockies" in my collection.
