What Does That Mean?
« on: March 05, 2010, 04:24:26 am »
Greetings all...

In the personals, I've seen people write "no PNP or no 420" or "PNP, 420 friendly."  I admit to being a bit naive about some of the current terms used in the community, so any info is appreciated.  Thanks.

They're references to drugs. PNP refers to meth and 420 to pot.

I didn't know PNP referred specifically to meth, I thought it was drugs and sex in general. Thanks for the clarification.

It is more general than meth, but usually does refer to meth as the drug of choice when having sex.

This reminds me of a bittersweet memory!  I was at a club about ten years ago when a guy came over and asked me if I was partying.  I thought that was an odd expression but I assumed it just meant having a good time, so I said yes...the next fifteen minutes was a continuous conversation at cross-purposes that a writer of comedy could have used.

I always thought PNP meant "party 'n' play", party as in paarrhh-TAY as in doing drugs, but I could see how in gay circles, party, in the context of sex, might more specifically mean meth.

When I was in high school, "do you want to paarrhh-TAY" always meant do you want to smoke a joint. I loved to paarrhh-TAY. ;D

I had the similar experience when I first had sex at age 19. The guy asked if I like to fuck. I thought fuck meant have sex, which is what I thought we were doing, so I said yes. When he started maneuvering me into position and I figured out what he was trying to do I yelled "what the hell do you think you are doing?!" I never got dressed and out a door so quickly. I honestly thought anal intercourse was an urban legend. There was just no way that would fit up there.

ford, that is some funny stuff.

the others are right. pnp is party and play. it usually means meth/crystal/tina but can cover a wide of array of drug use, usually drugs meant to enhance the sexual experience. 420 is obviously a reference to pot/mary j, mary jane, cannabis, reefer, marijuana and mary dont u want some.

lol, you all crack me up.

best,

There are also some regional varieties for PnP, as when I lived in Ft. Lauderdale. Not only did it refer to meth, it also stood for Prissy and Pretentious, which described a local "Stand and Model" bar.

If someone had PnP in a profile and I showed up at their place only to find a bag of weed I think I'd laugh in their face.  That's like having a Veuve Clicquot party and serving PBR.

Zackly. One doubts that poz.com personals type is gonna claim PnP and then offer his guest(s) an armful of Burmese Brown.

I never tried "hard" drugs and sex.
As for soft drugs, I missed my opportunity for x and sex in my last LTR - what a pity.
I love drugs. Luckily, I'm not the addictive type

I going to try PNP one of these days, but meanwhile there are other altered states more thrilling and less toxic. As for the bubbly - if it's method champenoise, it's always drinkable and often delicious. The same doesn't go for poppers - some are just dreadful.  Pot can be iffy too for sex.

One of the most gay ghetto things I remember from this forum is something about circuit parties where you got PEP and party drugs packed together. What is that called? Does that exist really?

Yes, it really does exist.  It's called "MTV" and it's a "party pack" that includes Meth, Tenofovir (or Truvada) and Viagra.  They actually consider it PrEP or pre-exposure prophylaxis because you're supposed to pop the anti-retroviral before you indulge in your night of bareback sex.

I've heard about it for a few years now (sadly, the meth market in San Diego is pretty significant), but there have been several articles about them including one I remember from the Advocate (Feb 09) that talked about dealers pushing them.  Just google "meth tenofovir Viagra party pack" and you'll see lots of talk about it.  Whether or not it works, I have not a clue.   ???

I tried sex on acid - it was too weird for me too... My perception of light kept shifting and I was more interested in having a conversation than getting some.

I don't enjoy sex on drugs, because all I want to do is more drugs.

However, I quite enjoy sex when I'm really drunk.  Especially a great rim job.
