I didn't have to drive to get home but my bones are tired as well LOL .

Ed and Ray:
Glad you all made it home safe!
That is a long drive --- my bones are tired just hearing how long it took.
Get some rest.
It was a pleasure to meet you both.
Now that we know that we aren't all that far apart geographically, I will have to make my way over your way for a visit.
Look forward to talking to you both again soon.

Nice meeting you to Phil, and once again, thanks for getting us situated, when we first pulled in.
Jeff, you know you are more than welcome to come visit anytime you like, same with you Phil. We're not that far apart.
By the way, when we woke up this morning in South Carolina, the Temp outside was 68 degrees. Almost felt like winter !! LOL ;D

Glad you and Ed made it back safely. It was so great to put a face to the "JRE". It is always fun to meet more virtual friends in person. Hope to meet up again soon.

P.S. what happened in DC stays in DC--unless I ever need a "leg up", then all bets are off! ;D 8)

You mean, something happened I wasn't aware of ? ;) Oh yes, I think I managed to leave a quarter inch of soles, from my sneakers, on the hot asphalt and sidewalks of Washington !! LOL 8) EDITED to ADD: I think they melted off !
It was great meeting you Mike !! Take care of yourself ! 8)

Dennis,
You and Bob are great! It was nice finally meeting you after all this time, and thanks for going over to Arlington with us, we had a great HOT time (LOL) But, It was wonderful to get to Arlington, As I never been there, and at 60 years of age , why put it off. It really was a great day, no matter how hot it was.
We got to see, what we wanted to see..
(((hugs ))) To you and Bob-

Hi Ray
I'm glad you both made it home alright, it was great finally meeting you after all these years, and of course that lovely man of your's.

After two unplanned hours on the tarmac at Reagan National (due to thunderstorms over West Virginia) I also made it home. Glad to hear others are arriving at their own homes and beds. Jan and Jen go halfway across the world tomorrow.
Great gathering, as it always end, parting always bittersweet. Nevertheless, we can already begin thinking about the next gathering!

::) For some reason, I am very messed up on my time. Feels like some kind of time warp.
I just woke up about 20 minutes ago, and asked Ed if it was 7:30 in the morning or 7:30 in the evening. :o

It was that Metro trip on the way home from the Mad Hatter with Mike and I that was the "white knuckle" ride.... well truthfully, the Rosslyn escalator and the hills between the station and the Marriott where the real "white knuckle" parts.
If you could have seen the faces of the young people on the train...priceless!
I had a great time meeting you guys...now I know you will want to return and help the newbies next year!

Where was I during those white knuckle walks? That sounds so much like me~~~
Next year, you guys, I promise~~!

OK -- I was wrong................. I guess what happens in DC, does NOT stay in DC. Rather, it gets splashed all over the AM forums. ;)
Not to worry Ray, I was happy to provide the buffer you needed to lean on -- instead of plummeting all the way down the Metro escalator...... and Gary is right -- the look on the group of college boys faces were priceless as you stumbled onto the train. They were nice enough to vacate a seat for you!!
Hugs,
Mike

I'll vouch for you on the shoelaces story Ray.... I got your back.....
I've gotten many shoelaces stuck in escalators over the years.... ::)
