Really worried...

Hi all,

I had a sexual exposure 3 months ago, vaginal intercourse on (28-03-09), after that i tested at 3 weeks (18-04-09) for antibody test, it came back negative.
after  6 weeks (10-may-09) i tested for rna pcr and antibodies test, it too came back negative.
after 14 weeks (03-jul-09) the antibodies test came back negative.

my concern now is, i am a carrier of hepatitis B and my cd4 count is only 350. do i need to test after 6 months?

since i did the testing in india, im not sure whether the kits used are latest and they confine for 3 months window period.
below are rapid test kit details,
1)immuochromatography from ABBOTT laboratories,USA
2)HIV 1-2.0 card test(immunochromatography) by PMC, india
3)signal HIV 1/2,span Diagnostics(antibody trapping by immobilization),india


CAN I RELY on these test results.. or am i immuno compromised person and need testing after 6 months?

Your test is conclusive.

The others facts you have thrown into the mix are irrelevant in relation to your test result. You have reliably tested negative. You are HIV negative.

Make sure that in the future you are always using condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse. No exceptions.

my doubt is am i immuno compromised person?  who are the ppl who test positive after six months if they are infected?

Being a carrier of hep B does NOT make you immunosuppressed.

The only people who MIGHT take a little longer than three months to seroconvert and test positive are those people on chemotherapy for cancer, anti-rejection drugs following organ transplant, or those who have been injecting street drugs, every day, for YEARS.

You do not have hiv and it's time for you to move on with your life.

i had a sex with CSV in end of march, then i tested for 3,6,14 week antibody test, 6 week PCR RNA test,
it came back negative.
now its 41/2 months, the symptom like cold sores, hives, swollen lymph nodes (behind my ears), and skin shrikages with itching are all started since 2 weeks after my exposure.

is there any chance that i turn positive after 3 months? who are the person for whom antibody is not produced in suficient to get detectable in months..

im already a Hep B carrier for past 18 months, and my CD4 count was only 350 after 6 weeks of my exposure..
am i immuocompromised person?

will i be infected? how many yrs will i survive, since my cd4 count too low.

can i take herbal medicine for cure or control of hiv?  i read in one of indian site for unann medicine which cures HIV in 2yrs. is it true?

Chivas, you have reliably tested negative for HIV. You are HIV negative, no matter what symptoms you are experiencing. It is not necessary to test beyond 13 weeks for HIV unless extensive intravenous drug issue is involved or other serious health problems such as cancer treatment or an organ transplant.

Your symptoms are something for you to discuss with your doctor.

There is no cure for HIV nor will herbal medicines cure/control HIV. Period. But that's not a problem for you since you don't have HIV. Period.

As long as you always use condoms for vaginal and anal intercourse you don't have to worry about HIV transmission, no matter whether your sexual partner is a professional or a civilian. It's really that simple as far HIV sexual risks are concerned.

Bottom line you don't have HIV. End of story.

You've already been told that YOU DO NOT HAVE HIV!!!

If you feel unwell, see a doctor. Whatever is going on has NOTHING to do with hiv. You don't have hiv.

im going to meet a dermatologist tomo.. hope he's doesn;t tell me any bad news..
