A futile Post
« on: August 26, 2010, 09:50:34 pm »
I got my labs back today. I'm up to 322 t-cells. This is from a low last May of 46, and 250 in January of this year. I'm steadily climbing, but I just don't understand why it's not climbing faster. I excercise, eat well, don't drink, sleep well, no drugs, have a stable job and home life and a partner who is awesome. I just don't understand what I am doing wrong. I've been undetectible since last June.

I can't remember the last time that I've been sick, so I should not complain. Being so low scares me as it doesn't take that much to take the count down to nothing.

There really is no good answer for this post... I just needed to vent.

Actually that is a fast climb -- it's your expectations that are faulty here.

Lobo,

Come on, boo. You're actually making great progress. To move up from 46 into the 300 range in just eighteen or nineteen months is actually quite respectable. Some people take much longer than that, and some get stuck in the 100 or 200 range for many months.

What counts is that you are undetectable, that you are healthy (therefore your 322 count is actually doing its job), and have a good support system. You are actually doing very well, even though it is understandable that you'd like to have a larger army of CD4s.

By no means is your post a futile one. Chin up you sexy wolf!

Stay strong Lobo ... Its taken me 10 + years for my CD4 to reach 500 . The important part is your viral load and yours being low is great news , the rest will come in time most likely .

Lobo,

Get a grip kid. Your numbers are improving at a very respectable rate.
