Triumeq drug interactions
« on: January 01, 2016, 11:31:46 am »
I started in triumeq a month back. Had almost no problems with it. But I am not feeling well today. Nausea and extreme headache is making it difficult for me do anything. I also have some temperature. Since my clinic is close today I have no way of knowing which pills I can take for my problem which won't cause an interaction with triumeq . anyone who has used pail killers and pills for fever with triumeq please help me.

You should be able to take your meds with over the counter pain meds … fever reducers and aspirin will not hurt you .

Hi samm2015,

I am also on Triumeq and have some fevers in the past.  My HIV doc said it was ok to take Tylenol or Ibuprofen.  I alternated between the two....both are good for fever reduction.

For stomach upset, my HIV doc told me not to take antacids like Rolaids or Tums....I can't remember why.....he suggested milk of magnesia.....I didn't have nausea but a few times I felt bloated and just uncomfortable.  But it passed after a day or so.  I usually drink ginger tea or ginger ale and that has helped my stomach sometimes.
