Easter/Spring baskets, made from tin cans, wrapped and handled with craft foam, surrounded by neon-glitter chenille stems, stuffed with miniature chocolate bars nested in shredded paper and mylar.

This is how I get discounts, extra helpings, and invitations to family events.

I have no need to suck up to my friends, and the folks I made these for are friends. If you'd like to know about my early life experience versus my current friendship with cafeteria workers, and why I am blessed to call these people my friends instead of enemies, please PM me. And FYI, time is all I have these days and chocolate is cheap, if you know how to shop.

It doesn't take that much time to show that you care about someone and it absolutely makes their day.

I've made a few more, and here's the group. If you look close, I've personalised them by writing the names of the recipients on the handles. Some of them go to my friends in the cafeteria, and a few are for people who have worked well with me in my job duties; particularly the ladies who worked with me today to sanction two doctors who have delinquent records and are keeping us out of compliance with both the Department of Health and our own Medical Staff bylaws. That's no fun for anyone involved, so I think they deserve candy in a pretty presentation.
