In the Full Throes of Middle Age

Hey, today's my birthday :)

At 43 I consider myself fully in the grip of middle age.  I took the day off and went for a coffee in the ghetto and wondered where all these gay youngsters were coming from.  I went to a car dealership and veered very close to buying a stupidly expensive car that I really don't need.  My partner's away until tonight, so I'll treat myself to take-out pizza and a piece of cake!

I have 16 years on you North and I always thought I was middle aged...now I just feel old... ;)

annie is right.  43 middle age?  Hardly!  YOu're making those of us a few years older (I'm 57) feel like we're old.  I can assure you, that is surely not the case.
