Oral + dry lips
« on: April 09, 2014, 03:46:15 pm »
Hey!
Last night I was giving oral sex to men, and I'm not sure of either his HIV-status or risk factor. (I'm HIV-)

First of all - let me tell You that I'm having quite dry lips (like... forever, from cold and other factors, no disease-related), but not to the point I feel the blood or anything. Also - about 30 minutes before meeting him I brushed my teeth, and there might be a bit of blood.
We did a bit of making out - we kissed quite intensive, he bit my tongue and lips (again - no blood involved, I think), and then I gave oral to him - withouth ejaculation, just a bit of pre-cum tasted.

I've read a lot of threads over there and I've got the idea about "theoreticaly" meaning "it ain't happening", but still You know - everyone likes to have his own topic, especially that I haven't found anything about dry lips.

And there is the question - given the dry lips with skin peeling of sometimes and such an oral experiment - what are chances of me getting infected (and that is - if he even was pos).

Thanks in advance, you guys really do cool job over there!

Avvay,

You did not have a risk for infection from oral sex or kissing, no matter how dry your lips might be.

The risk factors for HIV are ...

Sharing IV drug needles immediately after use.
Unprotected anal and vaginal sex.
Mother to child during or shortly after birth.
Very specific healthcare situations.

Use condoms for vaginal and anal sex consistently and correctly and you will avoid HIV infection, it is that simple.

Woah, I knew You guys are awesome but such a quick reply? I didn't even have time to properly refresh the site! But jokes aside - thanks a lot mate.

So You are saying that not even an incident I described above about brushing teeth would matter? Since I was in middle of act and I thought "oh crap, I've just brushed my teeth!" and that made me quite scared ;)

Keep up the good job You guys do over here and in real life! People like You that bring joy and peace are really needed in these dark times!

As Joe stated,  you never had an exposure from oral sex.
