first time on meds

hi folks. i have had hiv for 6 yrs now and recently started taking meds a week ago.
I am on ATRIPLA. the first night i didnt sleep much, which i kinda put down to anxiety of getting side effects. Next night was much better. Only thing i found was i was getting a dry mouth and getting up in the middle of the night for a drink.
I later put this down to the fact that my brother who i live with had the heating on all nite!

Went out last night on the town, overindulged in alcohol. took my atripla before i went out. seemed to be ok on it. was sick as a pig when i got up this morning, but feel fine now so must be a hangover!

So really to sum it up, i dont seem to be having much in the way of side effects. Have got my next hosp appointment in 2 wks to see how my viral load and cd4 are since taking meds.

Sounds like you are doing well with Atripla.

It, along with Complera, is the easiest regimen to take - one pill once a day.

i am happy you seem to be adjusting to it very well.

Seems as if a welcome is in order!  Welcome.  Hope your upcoming visit is a good one.  That's a fast visit -- under 30 days on meds? or will it be right at the 30-day mark?

well i had a blood test just before i started meds, and my consultant said to see him 3 wks after, so who knows?
