« on: August 25, 2017, 03:37:15 pm »
H all--I'm in the process of switching from Atripla to Genvoya. I ave been on Atripla since first diagnosed in 2010. At the recommendation of my primary care and psychiatrist switching to Genvoya. I am also taking Zoloft.  Any suggestions, things i should look out for, etc.  Any input is greatly appreciated....

The switch makes perfect sense. Other than a few adjustments days you should not be expecting problems, should be easy enough.

I'm presuming your HIV doctor is aware of the Zoloft ? and if so has taken any interactions into account.

Thanks to you both.  Yes, after reviewing my labs etc. both doctors agreed that I should switch and they are aware of any interactions; I've got the green light.  :)

Zoloft for depression, but maybe I'll be able to get off that slowly.  My numbers are ok, but the Atripla has really f****d with my head.

ojo.   Hi again... I'm glad you decided to switch meds, atripla is known, for some people, to mess up with your head, hopefully with genvoya, you will feel better and stop the Zolof and feel yourself again, so you can enjoy life  at the fullest.  Please keep us posted.. question. Do you live in the USA?.  Hugs

Hi very confident when you switch it will do wonders for you. I was in a bad way mentally before I made the switch off Atripla and within days of changing my mental fog was lifted. Good Luck.

I'm wondering if I will end up on Triumeq, I hadn't it before and ended up back on the Atripla because it interfered with my Epilepsy meds, but I've had a switch with them too, so maybe it will work. I passed the blood test for that so I know I'm able to take it.
Wish I knew what il end up as I don't want anything that will slow down my metabolism as I've managed to loose five stone.

I'm now 9 stone and I'm happy with the weight loss. Let's see what I get.
