I had a intestinal parasite that cause my VL to spike, once I was treated, my VL got back to "normal".

So in your stats you have a pretty decent CD4 and percentage, but a high VL, so supps may not be the key, but your intestinal health.

suggest you check out this book called healing HIV, you can get some guidence on intestinal conditions and what to do about it.

Other than that, the classic supps are listed on the newyorkbuyersclub.org and on Kaiser's website for K-PAX.

Multi Vit, with Selenium 200mcg.
Alpha lopaic acid
Carintine
NAC

Perhaps an herbal modulator - Astragalus.

for the gut, Yogurt and/or probiotics, psyllium fiber

Possibly Green Tea Extract- ECGC supp.

None.

Supplements can do wonders in addressing malabsorption, immune system repair, and other effects of HIV, but there is not a magic supplement or combination thereof that is going to beat down HIV on its own.  Please remember to use any supplementation with the knowledge of your physicians, and spend your healthcare money wisely.

Cheers,
David

I fundamentally agree with the last post.

Stimulating ones own immune system to lower VL seems to me to be unlikely with current supps.

However, one may optimize ones health, which may stabilize and perhaps modestly improve ones current situation. I've been hanging in at my current level for 2 years. Modest improvement but nothing dramatic. As I stated, I was able to get my VL back down to current sub 20k level after successful treatment for an intestinal parasite. (Blastomycosis).

With a VL at 100K, unless your are indeed having a parasitic or intestinal issue or other infection that is "assisting" the increase of VL, you are going to have to choose, and probably sooner than later, to go on meds to take advantage of your current high CD4 count. In my situation I am fighting a delaying action with supps and exercise. But if my VL spikes and/or my CD4 declines into that 350 range, I will be going on meds.

Sounds like it is doctor discussion time for real.
